Tummy Tuck
Restoring a flat, firm abdomen by removing excess skin and fat and tightening the underlying muscle — especially after pregnancy or major weight loss.
What it is
A tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) removes loose, excess abdominal skin and fat and repairs separated or weakened abdominal muscles. It is the definitive solution for the overhang and laxity that diet and exercise cannot correct after pregnancy or weight loss.
Who it's for
- Loose abdominal skin after pregnancy or weight loss
- Separated abdominal muscles (diastasis)
- A persistent lower-tummy overhang
- Patients at a stable weight, finished with pregnancies
The procedure
Performed under general anaesthesia over two to three hours. Excess skin and fat are removed, the muscle tightened, and the contour refined, often with liposuction. Usually a one to two night stay.
Recovery & aftercare
A compression garment is worn for several weeks; you walk gently from day one. Desk work resumes in two to three weeks; full activity at six weeks.
