PRP — Hair

Growth-factor therapy for thinning hair — concentrating platelets from your own blood and delivering them to the scalp to strengthen follicles and slow loss.

PRP — Hair

What it is

PRP for hair injects concentrated growth factors from your own blood into the scalp, where they revive miniaturising follicles, prolong the growth phase and reduce shedding. It is one of the most effective non-surgical options for early to moderate hair thinning.

Who it's for

  • Early to moderate hair thinning or shedding
  • Both male and female pattern hair loss
  • Patients wanting a non-surgical, natural option
  • A useful adjunct after a hair transplant

The procedure

Blood is drawn and spun in clinic, then the PRP is injected across the scalp after numbing. The session takes around 45 minutes.

Recovery & aftercare

Mild scalp tenderness for a day. A course of four to six sessions, monthly, is standard, then maintenance.

Frequently asked

Does PRP regrow hair?+
It strengthens and thickens existing hair and slows loss; it works best for early thinning rather than completely bald areas.
How many sessions?+
Typically four to six monthly sessions, then maintenance every four to six months.
Is it painful?+
Mildly — the scalp is numbed first and most patients tolerate it well.
